Genuine amber rosaries with insects inclusions reflects the highest living standards of the person who uses it. During the 18th and 19th century, the “Pashawat” plural of Pasha, of the Ottomans Empire who were the Aristocrats extended to reach big parts of Africa mainly Egypt. The "Pashawat" plural of "Pasha" who were the Aristocrats were using rosaries made of amber, ivory, agate, and Kuaka seed. For centuries amber has also been and still is prized for it's perceived medicinal properties. Amber has been thought to cure a variety of ailments such as poor sight and fever. Our rosary is constructed from old genuine Baltic amber, the highest grade. This amber has not been heated, treated or melted. The round beads are custom made and not manufactured. Round beads are the most difficult to produce and demand the best possible efforts from the artist. They require more raw amber to form a complete round shape and they must be drilled precisely so that the insect inside is not disturbed and placed nicely in the center of the bead. The insects themselves are aged in the millions of years, a few of which are pictured below. This selection consists of 33 round beads, 1 Minaret (the longerst bead) and two lenses (the smallest beads that seperates the beads). Though it has quality amber material. The rosaries will contain burned insects because of massive over heating. Lesser priced rosaries will also contain only one or two kinds of insects: ants and flies! When heating amber - the more you heat it, the clearer it becomes, but the insects will be burned, which will be useless in having nice insects, the insects will not appear in their original condition.
