The Blesbok, a South African antelope classified as Damaliscus D. Phillipsi is distinguished by heavily ridged, lyrate horns and a distinct white facial blaze marking. Though it is medium-sized, it has a stronger body than the impala and the springbok. Blesboks are grazers having a preference for short grass and drinking water regularly, even twice a day. They socialize in herds up to 30 animals. Several herds are frequently found together in aggregations of more than 100. Their principal enemy is the fastest animal on earth, the cheetah.
The skull and horn set offered above has been immersed in boiling water for an appropriate time as to ensure that any matter other than bone, horn or teeth is removed. The skull and horn has been thoroughly disinfected in particular with hydrogen peroxide where parts consisting of bone are concerned.
Due to the fragile nature of this selection please do not expect this item to be in perfect form. A jaw tooth or small bone might be missing especially in the nasal cavity.
