The Oryx Gazella or Gemsbok can be found in arid climates scattered across Africa. The average height for a mature Gemsbok is four feet at the shoulders and seven feet long from head to tail. Quite an outstanding species with a dignified black patch extending between their long almost straight horns which rise in a towering V shape. Gemsboks are an aggressive species and are extremely dangerous when sick or injured whereas they will attack people.
