The Oryx Gazella or Gemsbok can be found in arid climates scattered across Africa. The average height for a mature Gemsbok is four feet at the shoulders and seven feet long from head to tail. Quite an outstanding species with a dignified black patch extending between their long almost straight horns which rise in a towering V shape. Gemsboks are an aggressive species and are extremely dangerous when sick or injured whereas they will attack people. This animal can survive through severe climatic changes such as droughts better than most species.
