A pair of decorative and functional hand held drums are offered from the country of Guinea. Drums of this make and size are normally used by wondering tribal historians who through music and song recount important native myths and legends. These musicians are valued entertainers who are held in high regard and delight crowds at gatherings and ceremonies. The pair of well formed drums consists of tightly drawn, attractive, goat skin drum heads. The wooden drum barrels have an earthy orange tone. Carved tone pegs are held in place by goat skin straps at the bottom of one drum to enable it to deliver a slightly different pitch from the other. Two drumming sticks are included. The price is for the pair.
