Mr. Segy is author of such noted African art reference books as "African Sculpture Speaks and The Masks of Black Africa".
This offering is sponsered by Mr.& Mrs. Paul Calfayan. Each goldweight was purchased in 1979 and were at least 20 years old at that time. The regular price reflects the current market value. The on sale price reflects the generosity of the Calfayans. Authentication papers are included with each purchase, enjoy!
These ingenious little goldweights were often cast featuring geometrical patterns. The lines at the edges represent the life giving rays of the sun.
