This beautiful all leather handbag is from the country of Senegal. This well crafted, usable bag has been decorated with cowry shell accents which surround a circular African image drawn upon a bleached leather facing. Although no longer used as currency in Africa; cowry shells still denote prestige and wealth. The hand drawn scene features familiar village huts!  The bag is sturdy and constructed in an attractive unique shape!
