Springbok are classified as Antidorcas Marsupialis. They roam freely in herds up to 100 in Southern Africa. These antelope are grazers feeding on shrubs and grasses roots and bulbs. Springbok are characterized by a white face and a dark red band along the flank. They are often found with other game such as Blesbok and Wildebeest. Their main predators are cheetah, lions and leopards. Although small in size, barely reaching 3 feet in height, they are extraordinary leapers! Springbok are known to leap over 11 feet high in the air and bound over 49 feet across in a single leap! The skull and horn set offered above has been immersed in boiling water for an appropriate time as to ensure that any matter other than bone, horn or teeth is removed. The skull and horn has been thoroughly disinfected in particular with hydrogen peroxide where parts consisting of bone are concerned. Due to the fragile nature of this selection please do not expect this item to be in perfect form. A jaw tooth or small bone might be missing especially in the nasal cavity. Neither will detract from the overall presentation of the piece. We have done everything possible to ensure physical correctness. This set consists of a skull and two horns. The horns are removable.
